Serve as the Technical Security, Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Integrated Warfare Systems & Sensors (IWSS) line of business (LOB) in Syracuse, NY.
Responsibilities include:
Serve as Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the Syracuse facility per the NISPOM, implementing all requirements consistent with IWSS program needs and standards established by RMS and Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Ensuring day-to-day operations of Technical Security support and implement computer security needs of the Syracuse site, to include directing self-assessments/audits to measure effectiveness.
Overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of system security plans and other documentation necessary to prove compliance with government requirements for protection of classified information processed on LM and customer information systems.
Authors Risk Management Framework System Security Plans, maintains accreditations, and performs technical certification for accredited systems, and implements an information systems (IS) security education program.
Coordinating efforts of Technical Security with IT operations organizations.
Engage with program management, engineering staff, and other security and program personnel resolve technical security-related issues.
Supporting Lockheed Martin Corporate Security initiatives by providing input and recommendations to the Government Compliance Security Working and Advisory Group (GCSWAG) through the RMS representative, as needed.
Overseeing the LOB's compliance with technical information setting for all operating systems, to include Windows operating systems, Unix/Linux, etc. on classified computer systems.
Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing metrics for the LOB.
Completing other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Previous experience as an ISSO.
Experience working with classified Information Systems configuration and auditing process.
Ability to author security plans and maintain accreditations.
Ability to perform technical certifications for systems being presented to the government for accreditation.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, demanding environment.
Final in scope Secret Clearance.
Desired skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interface with numerous cognizant security agencies, customers and senior management.
Knowledge of other security disciplines and how they impact and interact with information system security.
CISSP or other DoD 8570/8140 certification.
Understanding of network concepts and Type 1 encryption devices, such as TACLANE.
