Design, optimize, analyze and improve the performance of UMTS/LTE network utilizing RF propagation principles (Aircom Asset a must), cellular theory, RF engineering tools, antenna theory. Issue search rings and perform RF evaluation of site candidates. Create and update Radio Frequency Design Sheets (RFDS). Create & update Ericsson CIQ/CDD packages. Perform link budget analysis. Validate antenna sweeps and perform model tuning. Prepare and present zoning justification package to local jurisdictions, and Site Justification Packages (SJP) for budget approval. Prepare FAA/FCC filings, E-911 plots, data fill and support E-911 deployment. Apply multi-technology handover and power control algorithms to perform network optimization and performance improvement. Apply principles of incremental redundancy, mobility and coding schemes to perform data optimization in HSPA/LTE network. Candidate must be familiar with T-Mobile planning tools; Asset, InSite, SORT.
Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:
2-5 years experience as a RF Design Engineering or related position Must have experience with (1) applying RF propagation principles, cellular theory, RF engineering tools, antenna theory and performing frequency planning and implementation; (2) preparing FAA/FCC filings and preparing and presenting zoning justifications to local jurisdictions; (3) performing HSPA and LTE/VoLTE network optimization and performance improvement by applying RF engineering principals; (4) Prepare E-911 plots, data fill and support E-911 deployment; (5) Create & Update RFDS, review line sweeps, review/approve CDs (construction drawings); (6) Create & Update CIQ/CDD packages; (7) utilizing VBA and database skills to create macros to automate and perform trending analysis Preferred skills:
Proficient with Asset, TEMS. Actix, MapInfo, sweep review, CD review, RFDS creation/update, CIQ/CDD creation & update. Familiar with T-Mobile tools; InSite, SORT, ActixOne and TPIM a plus.
Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of Aircom- Asset planning tool (administrative, equal power boundary plots, zoning coverage plot requirements, CIQ/CDD creation, RFDS creation, coax cable sweep testing/review, and Construction Drawing review.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
