We have a current opening in our Sheet Metal Dept. for a Laser Operator. The position is FT, 1st Shift, Pay is DOE.
Applies basic Laser operator processes for sheet metal components as specified by routings, schedules and drawings. Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the safe operation of Laser. Responsible for basic set-up of machine and troubleshooting. Will be required to use quality inspection tools such as gauges, micrometers and/or calipers. Interpret and follow routings, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents. With direct oversight, identify and solve machine alignment problems.
JOB SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 5 years machining experience. Must pass written test. Able to read and understand engineering blueprints. Must be able to use mathematics relevant to functions. Prefer familiarity with machine tools and precision instruments. Prefer basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;).
