We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of construction projects, including commercial, hospital, college, university, and government buildings.
As a Permanent Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day construction activities, maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of the construction industry and a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction activities from planning to implementation.
Ensure all construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high quality standards.
Supervise and direct onsite staff, subcontractors, and other construction related personnel.
Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
Review work progress on a daily basis and resolve any arising issues or delays.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards, maintaining a safe and clean job site at all times.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
Conduct quality control checks, inspecting work to ensure it meets the specifications and quality standards.
Communicate project status to stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, costs, and issues.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3
years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
Proven experience in commercial, hospital, college, university, and government projects.
Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in construction management software.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
Valid certification in construction safety or related field is a plus.
