We are an expanding custom and private-label vitamin manufacturing company that has been in business for over 70 years.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to take the helm of our manufacturing operations.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the food manufacturing industry, who is proficient in FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) and food safety regulations.
As the Plant Manager, you will have the primary responsibility of ensuring the efficient and safe daily operations of the plant while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
1.
Oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
2.
Develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.
3.
Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.
4.
Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
5.
Implement cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
6.
Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
7.
Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
8.
Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
9.
Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
10.
Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
11.
Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
12.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FSMA and food safety standards.
13.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, enhance safety, and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field.
2.
Minimum of 3
years of experience in a plant management role in the food and dairy manufacturing industry.
3.
Comprehensive understanding of FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act).
4.
Proficient in the use of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
5.
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and standards.
6.
Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.
7.
Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as in a group.
8.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
9.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
10.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
11.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
12.
Ability to adapt to change and work in a team-oriented environment.
